The songs of Christmas go beyond cultures, borders, and languages. Christmas carols are called villancicos in Spanish. The most famous Christmas songs have been translated into many languages.

The traditional Spanish Christmas carol is famous in Spain and Latin America. While several of these carols have been translated into Spanish and some have become popular, the Spanish- speaking world has also its share of Christmas carols.
