Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem
of Judea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, there came wise men from the east
to Jerusalem, saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
"Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home!" Instead of being a time of unusual behavior, Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish.
